The Hundreds Headquarters L.A. CA

A couple weeks back I had the pleasure of dropping by The Hundreds Headquarters in sunny Los Angeles California. David is our sales rep for the streetwear shop I work at. I rolled through the office and checked the new showroom that is filled with new unreleased product for this 2009 year. Shoutout to David for the hospitality and much love to the hundreds family.

Ken Can Cook Official Collab

Kenny Segal a.k.a. "Ken Can Cook" and Gallery Onelove Deluxe have released a new collaboration tee shirt which is now available. The tee shirt is available direct from Kenny Segal as well as the Gallery Onelove Deluxe ONLINE STORE. Please review the info below to find out more about this L.A. based music producer and chef.

"Starting with piano, then cello, Syndakit a.k.a. Kenny Segal, eventually found his way to computers. After never really completing his PASCAL coded 3D texture mapping engine during high school, he funneled his boredom into a DOS music program called Fasttracker and this quickly became his new creative outlet. He hooked up walkie talkies to his cello, and he sampled drum machines through his guitar amp, but it was not until he reached 11th grade when some friends exposed him to drum-n-bass and IDM, that his music began to take a more definitive direction. Fascinated by the intricately programmed breaks, Kenny worked hard on his craft and began to fashion a style of funk-fused melodics over hard programmed breaks. In 1997 Kenny moved from Maryland to Los Angeles in order to pursue a degree in computer engineering. While his high school friends were busy becoming wealthy with their computer programming skills, Kenny switched to a recording major and continued making his beats. After hooking up with a group of like-minded drum-n-bass DJs he became one of the founding members of On Point Records and proceeded to rinse out raves all over the west coast and Canada with a unique brand of 2x4 d-n-b-turntablism. It was during this time that the seminal club Konkrete Jungle was being held at Spaceland where every week, a meeting of the minds was taking place between the cream of the crop of LA underground hip hop and drum-n-bass. A chance encounter with P.E.A.C.E. from Freestyle Fellowship turned into a friendship, and before he knew it, Kenny had a certified LA legend living in his college apartment! This led to many infamous recording sessions and a new focus on hip hop as important connections were made with other artists such as Abstract Rude, Aceyalone, Phoenix Orion, Dr.oop, and Busdriver. As he finished college, Kenny completed albums with P.E.A.C.E. (Megabite), Phoenix Orion (3080 Flux), and Dr.oop (Memoirs of Planet Lovetron). His tracks also began making regular appearances on Abstract Rude and Project Blowed releases (PAINT, Showtyme, Coup de Theatre, 10 Year Anniversary, Still Making Tracks, etc). In 2004 Kenny got the opportunity to tour Europe as the DJ for A.T.U., and lately has been known to fill in for Drez at the occasional A-team or Ab Rude gig. He also currently plays keyboard and sampler in a rock band, Attached By Wires, and produces music in many genres which has been featured everywhere from TV commercials and video games to adult films. Right now, Kenny is wrapping up production on his newest conceptual project, Ken Can Cook."
